No better place to be on a hot summer day than under the ground, deep in a series of caverns!!
Founded in 1878, the largest caverns in the East!!

The above is Dream Lake.
The largest body of water in the cavern.  It reflects the forms and creates a mirror image of the stalagtites hanging from the ceiling.
Millions of years in the making and
still actively growing.

This double column is 47 feet tall and one of the most spectacular formations in the caverns.  This column is a classic example of the formation of a stalactite and stalagmite coming together as one.

Breakfast anyone??
Actually, this is what happens when people touch and rub a stalagmite through the years!!
It was an easy walk, good paths, plenty of railings, very comfortable and our guide was excellent!!
