Taken in 1926
In 1925, Sears, Roebuck & Co. built a massive brick building on 16 acres of land on Ponce de Leon Ave. for a retail store and warehouse distribution center which served the Southeastern US.
Atlanta City Hall East

Sears closed in 1989 and in 1991 the building was bought by Atlanta and converted into City Hall East. Using only 10% of the building and the upkeep of the building being astronomical, the city of Atlanta sold it and finally this historic structure is being restored to serve as entertainment, retail, apartment living and businesses.
The new and improved - PONCE CITY MARKET!!!
My Baby Girl works for MailChimp.
They outgrew their previous location and
they're in the process of moving their offices
Last weekend we took a tour of her new work place!
Artwork covers many of the walls.
A conference room was covered with skateboards.

This wall mural shows how
Diversity Connects to Diversity.
This area connects the two levels and is used for guest speakers. It's like stadium seating with a projector behind me.

This board is made of pencils,
waiting to be hung on the wall!
Isn't my Baby adorable?
Now look at those windows! They still open!!
Jamestown Properties has restored most of the original features of the former Sears building in order to maintain the integrity of the project.  They have replaced hundreds of panes of glass in the original windows instead of replacing the windows.
Mixing the new with the old!!
Where is your Baby Brother??
Soon :-}}
A board with huge electrical switches and
My Girls!
Having brunch!
