NORMAN

Norman - bottom right
Nov. 1973
This is Norman.
I bought Norman in Nov 1973
for my first apartment.
After growing out of ceramic pots through the years and too large to transport from different places we lived;
We planted Norman in my parent's
backyard in 1986.
Norman continues to grow and seems very happy!!
His permanent residence is now with Mom
in St. Augustine!

MUIR WOODS

The Redwoods in the BIG BASIN REDWOODS STATE PARK are the tallest and oldest trees on earth.  But the Muir Woods Redwoods are just as lovely and amazing  with some being 1,000 years old.
Because Muir Woods is located in a canyon, these redwoods have never been logged.  Though scars from fire are seen on the bark of many of these majestic trees.
Redwood Creek runs through the middle of Muir Woods making the forest floor lush with ferns, mosses and undergrowth!

Find the people in this photo.
Usually, I try NOT to photograph people
in my nature pictures.
But this is the only way to show the size of these enormous, beautiful trees!

"This is the best tree-lover's monument that could possibly be found in all the forests of the world."
-John Muir
