Every morning at 7:40, Monday through Friday,
I'm standing in the hall of my school
saying "Good Morning"
saying "Good Morning"
and "Have a good day" as the students
go to their classroom to begin the day.
There's one little girl with big black glasses
who's not my student, that makes me
smile all over everytime I see her-
it's Sophie!
One day for no reason at all,
she left on my desk a cookie
with a note that said - "To the nice lady!"
It's amazing how one small act of kindness
can make another person feel.
Even if it's a young child to an adult.
For Christmas, she gave me a little evergreen that has the honor of
spending the winter with my orchids.
Now, every morning-
I look for Sophie's smile and get a hug.
It's amazing how a simple smile and hug can make
a huge difference in one's life.

What a sweet girl. You two have obviously connected. Love hearing stories like this! Warms the heart.
Oh! That tree in your header is amazing. I can't remember if I've commented on it yet, but I wanted to make sure I told you. Is that near you? It's like something out of Narnia. Wow!
This is so very true, and a reminder to smile at everyone tomorrow, you never know when someone will need it badly.
Just so sweet! Thank you for visiting my blog for Gratitude Sunday. It's a nice weekly habit!
I will look forward to following your blog.
Linda
