Today is suppose to get up into the 70s, then turn cold next week. When I see the daffodils coming out, the day lilies putting out new growth, the yellow jessamine budding and beginning to bloom; I fear that they will all freeze back when it does turn cold. During the week while I was at work, a bird was building her nest in the blue bird box- hope she is a blue bird. We need the cold, we need a little winter snow and ice!! After the light winter last year, the bugs were awful this past spring, summer and fall. Stink bugs were everywhere and spiders. I'm not ready to shave Augie either. He needs to grow his fur a little bit more. He's growing me a scarf or shawl.

Fantastic photos ~ Absolutely love your dog!
In MA we have had a mild winter so far but am sure the real winter will arrive any day ~ Nature can get confused by the crazy temps ~

such a wooly pup!
Auggie is so cute on that bench. I think our freezing temps are coming your way next week.
Wow! 70 is warm for January for sure. We are at the top of the state of Ohio where our winters are cold and it's in the 60's here today! I agree, it does mess with the plants for sure...hoping your daffodils make it through. They seem pretty hardy plants though so I am thinking they'll be okay. :)
Newbi here
Love the photos and daisy is a real peach

Oh my dog, Augie looks precious posing on that bench for you! Today we're supposed to reach 75 and more rain; next week a cold front. Schizophrenic weather!
I want to tell them STOP - you are being tricked by a cruel trick of nature. Pretty and sad.
Holy COW! I need to go out when I do chores at 3 and really take a LOOK in our yard and garden!
I ask the same question about Spring on my post too.
It's been really nice and we are seeing early budding trees, and also migratory birds that usually don't show up here until next month.
But, then again, it's might cold tonight! I am hoping for an early Spring and lots of rain to fill our pond.
Three years in a drought is getting old!
Happy weekend!:-)
We had our annual invasion of the
Robins this week and that always
tells me Spring is not too far
away.. lovely photos!

Yikes!
It seems too early for the plants to be springing out. I love your cute dog. Lovely images, Have a great day!
I'm one of those weird people who are not liking this warm weather :)I want snow.
Definitely looks like spring to me! Wow. Augie is so furry! You could totally make a scarf out of his fur!
What a dignified-looking dog! I love his woolly coat.
Say its not so, you have buds coming up. NO!!! we DO need more cold weather to kill the bugs as you stated. Lest keep praying for more cold and some snow too.
Have you learned to knit yet so you can use augie's fur?
